During the time I spent living in Austin, I volunteered as both a graphic designer and video editor for Austin Pets Alive!, a non-profit no-kill animal shelter. What began as an idea to walk dogs and play with cats in my free time had turned into a deep love for the organization and hours upon hours working behind the scenes to help keep their brand looking crisp and clean.
Although I no longer live in Austin, I still like to get involved with APA!’s projects when I can. In October 2012, I was contacted by a project manager about designing the 2013 calendar to be sold as a part of fundraiser and awareness effort for the organization. Of course, I agreed to the project, and after seeing each rescue animal’s adorable face captured so well by the volunteer photographer, how could I possibly say no?
The calendar is available to purchase from the Austin Pets Alive! official store.
